Become one of our delicious Ribfest Ribbers who attended this spectacular family event yearly filled with food, fun, and entertainment.

Brantford Ribfest has the best of North America’s ribbers join us each year to deliver a great experience during the weekend-long festival.

Teams compete during the event for Best Ribs, Best Sauce, Best Chicken, Best Pig Rig and People’s Choice award with bragging rights that come with it. Attendees are given ballots and encouraged to vote for their favourite team!

Each Ribber has their own menu posted in front of their mobile kitchen and smoker on wheels.

How do I apply?

Please fill out application and return to us at ribfest[@]brantfordkinsmen.ca. You will be put on a list for use at our Festival.

When accepted you must:

  • Apply for a Special Event Food Truck vending license of $100.00 online via Cloudpermit through the City
    of Brantford Licensing Department. Questions? Email: licensing@brantford.ca or call (519) 759-4150.
  • Grand Erie Public Health Unit Vendor Application(s) (due 30 days in advance)
  • Submit COIs at least 90 days prior to the event, $2 million General Liability coverage, List The Corporation of the City of Brantford (58 Dalhousie Street, PO Box 818, Brantford, ON N3T 2J2) and Kinsmen Club of Brantford Inc. as additional insured, Clearly specify the event location, date(s) and activity

What are the Ribber hours?

Food Vendor Hours:

Friday – 4PM-11PM, must be on-site by 3:30 pm and set up by 3:45 pm.
Saturday – 11AM-11PM, must be on-site by 10:30 am and set up by 10:45 am.
Sunday – 11AM-7PM. must be on-site by 10:30 am and set up by 10:45 am.
Participants cannot tear down until the festival ends at listed time above except in extreme weather conditions.
