We invite you to join us in our 11th annual Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest, taking place August 7 – 9, 2020 with scrumptiously delicious mouthwatering ribs and chicken. Featuring the tastiest treats like roasted corn, blooming onions, cornbread, baked beans, fresh coleslaw and sizzling hot fries, this festival is heaven for food lovers. Help us welcome North America’s greatest rib teams as they compete for top awards including Best Ribs, Best Chicken, Best Sauce, Best Pig Rig and People’s Choice.
Nestled next to the picturesque Grand River, Brantford Civic Center makes for the perfect outdoor setting for this festival enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The park will be packed with family-friendly fun including bouncy castles & inflatables, carnival games, train rides, what-a-ball, Batman, Disney Princesses, and a rib-eating contest! Soak up the summer sun, relax in our beer garden with a refreshing beverage, and enjoy live musical entertainment at Brantford’s 11th annual Ribfest!

We are looking for volunteers to help out with tasks such as setting up, taking down, ground maintenance, drink servers greeters and selling raffle tickets. The hours are flexible; the event times vary, so you can choose to stay all day or for a few hour duration. The minimum age for volunteers is 14, and youth can use their Ribfest volunteer hours toward their required community service hours.
We are not necessarily looking for skilled volunteers, so it’s a great way for students looking for volunteer high school hours are welcomed. And for adults, it is perfect time to meet new people and participate in a community oriented event. Brantford Kinsmen believes that all member of our community have the ability to help build the community in which they live, work and play in a way that is meaningful to them. As we alluded to yesterday morning, our steering committee have a MAJOR EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT to share with you at this time.
For an entire decade, the Kinsmen Club of Brantford Inc. have presented our festival at Cockshutt Park. Over the last several years, our attendance and traffic have increased to the point where, according to the municipal fire regulations, we have outgrown this West #Brant facility.
The well-being and safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us. With this and our continued growth and success in mind, this summer we invite you to join us at our NEW LOCATION – the Brantford & District Civic Centre – 79 Market St. South.
We believe this will be a positive step forward in a more central location.
We have had a handful of inquiries over the past several days regarding the #COVID-19 virus and the future of our 2020 festival. As of right now, OUR EVENT WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED, August 7th-9th.
As leaders in our community, we prioritize the health and safety of Kinsmen Club of Brantford Inc. members, guests, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and the many patrons that attend our events yearly.
August is a long way off, but our steering committee will continue to monitor the directives from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Brant County Health Unit, etc and implement any precautionary measures set out for prevention.
Please follow the instructions of these reputable organizations, disinfect all surfaces at home and at work and be mindful of your own health and well-being. If you are feeling ill or sick, please stay home.
Lastly, if you do need to venture out to the store for some necessities, we ask that you be courteous and polite to others. We are all in this together; hostility and violence only create more problems.
We hope you, your family, friends and colleagues are staying well during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. As this situation progresses, we will keep you informed. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate contact us.

Our 2020 dates will be August 7 – 9, 2020 and we’re gradually updating the website as things get finalized.
