Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the 2020 Ribfest has been postponed until 2021.
We invite you to join us in our 11th annual Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest, taking place August 6 – 8, 2021 with scrumptiously delicious mouthwatering ribs and chicken. Featuring the tastiest treats like roasted corn, blooming onions, cornbread, baked beans, fresh coleslaw and sizzling hot fries, this festival is heaven for food lovers. Help us welcome North America’s greatest rib teams as they compete for top awards including Best Ribs, Best Chicken, Best Sauce, Best Pig Rig and People’s Choice.
Nestled next to the picturesque Grand River, Brantford’s Cockshutt park makes for the perfect outdoor setting for this festival enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The park will be packed with family-friendly fun including bouncy castles & inflatables, carnival games, train rides, what-a-ball, Batman, Disney Princesses, and a rib-eating contest!
Soak up the summer sun, relax in our beer garden with a refreshing beverage, and enjoy live musical entertainment at Brantford’s 11th annual ribfest!

We are looking for volunteers to help out with tasks such as setting up, taking down, ground maintenance, drink servers greeters and selling raffle tickets. The hours are flexible; the event times vary, so you can choose to stay all day or for a few hour duration. The minimum age for volunteers is 14, and youth can use their Ribfest volunteer hours toward their required community service hours.
We are not necessarily looking for skilled volunteers, so it’s a great way for students looking for volunteer high school hours are welcomed. And for adults, it is perfect time to meet new people and participate in a community oriented event. Brantford Kinsmen believes that all member of our community have the ability to help build the community in which they live, work and play in a way that is meaningful to them.
